Adat Shalom Introduces Concert Series Before Rosh Hashanah

Rabbi Nolan Lebovitz on Adat Shalom Synagogue West L.A.’s concert series:
Last year during Covid, unable to sleep, I began watching my favorite musicians on YouTube on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts. The five-part series inspired me to create Adat Shalom’s Concert Series to present uplifting, optimistic Jewish music from LA Jewish musicians. Each concert is released on Fridays via Adat Shalom’s YouTube Channel (the first three are already available).
Adat Shalom’s leadership supported the idea and Mount Sinai Memorial Parks & Mortuaries awarded us a grant to help produce the series. The artist roster has included own Cantor Dale Schatz, Cantor Jacqueline Rafii, Yale Strom & Hot Pstromi, Charlie Kramer and finally Duvid Swirsky.
Adat Shalom is always looking for opportunities to engage our larger community through hosting musicians, authors, filmmakers and others.
I hope that the powerful common language of music inspires us all as a community to a more hopeful place before Rosh Hashanah.
