Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival hosts virtual Hanukkah festival
Celebrate Hanukkah with 11 award-winning Jewish films hosted by The Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival (LAJFF).
In partnership with ChaiFlicks, the 2021 Hanukkah Film Festival will offer eight nights of cinema available to view online from Nov. 28 through Dec. 5. One ticket includes access to a series of films, as well as exclusive filmmaker discussions. New films are added every night of Hanukkah, and the line up includes both shorts and features. Among the films premiering at the festival are the animated Oscar-contender “The Broken Candle,” the romantic-comedy “Kiss Me Kosher” and “The Tattooed Torah” narrated by the late Ed Asner.
Hilary Helstein, executive director at LAJFF said the festival is a virtual way to share in the joy of Hanukkah, “reminding us of who we are, our history, our diverse peoples and especially our values.
“It’s a terrific concept and so needed by the many local film festivals nationwide who have been affected by the pandemic and who continue to work hard to engage their communities artistically,” she added. “LA Jewish Film Festival is thrilled to participate and represent the Los Angeles area, as it gives us the opportunity to connect to our audience, our community and each other.”
Tickets are $36 when you use promo code LAFEST. For tickets and more information visit the film festival website.
